Who is behind it
FinLad is developed by Oleksii Itsekson. He also writes the guides on this site, and has kept his own accounts in the app since 2025 — accounts, budgets, utility bills.
Legally, the product is the responsibility of FOP Itsekson Oleksii Volodymyrovych, a sole trader registered in Ukraine. It is the same party the privacy policy names as the owner and controller of your data, so a question about it goes to a specific person rather than to an abstract company.
FinLad does not belong to a bank and sells no financial products. There are no loan offers and no “recommended” cards here: the app counts your money rather than offering you someone else’s.
Why the app exists
People rarely give up tracking out of laziness; they give up because of what it costs — every expense by hand, every evening. FinLad tries to make that cost as low as possible: a bank statement can be imported, a receipt photographed, an expense entered as one sentence, and Monobank connected so that transactions arrive on their own.
The app works offline: entries are kept on the phone, and sync is a separate service you can switch off. The free tier is complete tracking on one device, not a trial that expires.
How the product earns
From subscriptions. Plus unlocks what needs a server or an outside service: sync between devices, bank connections, receipt scanning, AI. It can be paid monthly, yearly, or bought once for good.
The app has no ads, no advertising SDKs, no advertising identifier and no behavioural analytics. The product earns from subscriptions, not from data — which is exactly why it can afford not to know what you spend on.
What happens to your data
Amounts, balances, account names, notes and receipt photos are encrypted on your phone before they reach the server, and the key exists only on your devices. The server and its backups are hosted in the European Union.
An account is deleted with one button in settings, together with everything the server held about you. The details — including what exactly the AI sees and how long backups live — are in the privacy policy.
About the guides on this site
The articles under Guides are written to stay useful without the app: the manual way is described alongside the way FinLad does it, and where a spreadsheet is cheaper, they say so.
Neither the articles nor the app are investment, tax or financial advice. They are about tracking — about seeing where the money goes. Decisions about the money itself are yours.
How to get in touch
Through the contact form on the home page — it is the main channel for any question, including questions about data and privacy. Messages are read by the developer.
If something is not working in the app itself, Report a problem inside it is the quicker route: the report carries the app and device version, which makes the bug easier to reproduce.
