Terms of Use
Version 1.2 · Effective from 25 August 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and FOP Itsekson Oleksii Volodymyrovych ("we") about using the FinLad app and the finlad.site website. By starting to use the app you accept them.
1. What the service is
FinLad is an app for personal finance tracking: income and expenses, budgets, utility services, investments and assets. It helps you keep and see your own records. It is not a bank, not a payment service, and it performs no operations with your money.
2. This is not financial advice
Everything the app shows — statistics, forecasts, category suggestions, investment data and exchange rates — is informational only. It is not investment, tax or financial advice and not a recommendation to buy or sell any asset. Decisions about your money are yours, and we are not responsible for their outcomes.
3. Your account
- Sync requires an account — sign-in runs through Google, and on iOS through Apple as well.
- You are responsible for keeping access to your Google or Apple account and for actions taken under it.
- You can delete your account at any time in settings. This device is wiped at once; the data on the server is deleted after 7 days, during which the deletion can still be cancelled.
- We may suspend access if an account is used to attack the service or otherwise harm other users.
An account is created in one tap and needs nothing about you — no address, no name, no Google or Apple sign-in (see section 2 of the Privacy Policy). Google sign-in — and Apple sign-in on iOS — remains an equal alternative, not a condition. Because we know nothing about you, we also cannot recognise you if you lose access: instead of "reset your password by email", the app shows a recovery code immediately after sign-up. Keeping it is your half of the arrangement, and if both the device holding the passkey and that code are lost, neither you nor we can restore the account. So keep the code, and make a backup at least once: it works with no server and no account at all.
4. Your data belongs to you
The records you create remain yours. We do not use them for advertising and do not pass them to third parties beyond what the Privacy Policy describes. Regardless of your tier and of whether a subscription is active, we commit:
- never to restrict viewing your own data, including full history;
- never to restrict restoring your own backup;
- never to require a support request to restore a purchase you already made — it must be one action in the app;
- never to delete your data because a paid period ended: you lose access to paid features, not your history.
Your images — receipt and meter photos, utility bills, asset documents — are encrypted end to end under your account’s key (see the Security section of the Privacy Policy). We cannot look at them, and we will not pretend otherwise: if you write to support about a particular photo, we physically cannot open it. Your half of that follows: the recovery code is yours to keep, and if both it and every device are lost, the images cannot be recovered — not by you, and not by us.
5. Tiers and payment
The free tier is a complete tracker on one device: accounts, transactions, categories, budgets, statistics, property, net worth and goals, receipt photos attached to an expense you enter yourself, plus backup and data export. The paid Plus tier adds cross-device sync, bank connection, bank statement import, utility services, investments, credits and debts, recurring payments, and receipt scanning with AI categorization. Some of those need a server or an external service and some do not: a CSV or Excel statement is read on the device itself while sync is off, and the file is sent nowhere — the free tier does not have those features at all, rather than having less of them. Current prices are shown on the pricing page and in the app.
- Payment runs only through the app store — Google Play, and the App Store for the iOS version. We neither receive nor store your card details.
- A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. Cancellation happens in the settings of whichever store it was bought through — access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds follow that store’s rules. If you are an EU consumer, your 14-day right of withdrawal applies under EU law; in Ukraine, the guarantees of the Law "On Consumer Rights Protection" apply.
- The one-time "Plus Lifetime" purchase applies to the account that made it, with no expiry.
- We may change prices going forward. A change does not affect an already paid period, and we will announce it in advance.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break the service, access other people’s data, load the server automatically beyond ordinary use, or circumvent tier limits. Do not use the service for unlawful activity.
7. Availability and liability
We aim to keep the service running without interruption but do not guarantee it: planned updates and failures happen. The app is built to work offline, so server downtime does not cut you off from the data on your device.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profit, or financial decisions made on the basis of data from the app. These limits do not narrow your consumer rights, which cannot be restricted by contract.
Keep your own backups of important data. We take regular server backups but cannot guarantee recovery of data you deleted yourself.
8. Changes and termination
We may update these terms — the version number and date on this page change, and material changes are announced in the app. You may stop using the service at any time by deleting your account.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. Disputes are heard by the courts at the provider’s location, unless mandatory consumer protection rules provide otherwise — an EU consumer, in particular, keeps the right to bring proceedings where they live.
10. Contact
