Your data

Delete your account and data

The copy on your device is wiped at once and for good, and the bank connection is disconnected the same moment. What the server holds is deleted after 7 days, and until then you can sign in and cancel. After that we keep no shadow copy, so nobody can restore the data — us included.

In the app — start it yourself, without us

  1. 1Open the «More» tab.
  2. 2Scroll to «Delete account and all data».
  3. 3Confirm — the app offers to make a backup first.

This is the fastest route: the account is gone the moment you confirm, with nobody to wait for.

If you no longer have the app

Lost the device, uninstalled the app — send the request from here. We complete it within 30 days and write to say when it is done.

The one you signed in with, or any address we can confirm to.

Optional. The short code like «FL-7F3A-K2M9» from the «More» screen — it finds the account faster.

By sending this request you agree that we process the details above to find the account and carry out the deletion. See the Privacy Policy.

Delete the data without deleting the account

If you need your data off our servers but want to keep the account, that is its own action — and it is immediate too.

  1. 1Open «More» → «Sync».
  2. 2Turn it off with «Turn off and delete».
  3. 3The server copy is deleted at once; the records stay on this device and keep working offline.

Individual records — a transaction, an account, an asset — can be deleted in the app itself. If you no longer have the app, use the form above and say that only the server-side data should go.

What exactly is deleted

Goes immediately

  • The app database on the device you pressed the button from. That happens at once and for good — the seven days do not cover it.
  • Access to the account: every session on every device ends at that moment.
  • The Monobank connection: the token is deleted and the bank stops sending us your transactions.

Goes after 7 days

  • The account, its sign-in method and its recovery code.
  • Every financial record on the server: accounts, transactions, budgets, goals, assets, investments, utilities and their attachments.
  • This account's sign-in log, including the IP addresses in it.

Goes later, or stays

  • Server backups — deleted data leaves them as they rotate, which takes about six months. The backups themselves are encrypted (age) before they are written anywhere, and are never kept unencrypted — neither on the server nor in off-box storage.
  • Anonymous technical logs that are not tied to an account.
  • Purchase records are held by the stores — Google (Google Play) and Apple (the App Store) — not by us; deleting the account does not affect them.

Those seven days exist so you can change your mind: sign in and the app offers to cancel the deletion or to finish it now. What comes back is the server copy — anything kept only on the phone is already erased. If your plan has no sync there is no server copy at all, so there would be nothing to bring back.
